The River Park is located at the lower end of Water Park Road and is for the exclusive use of members of the River Mountain Ranch Property Owner's Association (RMRPOA). The RMR POA Blanco River Park has seen some improvements since the beginning of 2008 as seen in the pictures posted in this section. The gated entrance to the Water Park was also upgraded in 2008 with flower beds (below right) and the park road was repaired as well as the first 150 feet of the road being paved (below left). The park road pavement was extended an additional 300 feet in 2010.

The park contains a large area for family picnics under the cover of rustic cedar pavilions. There are also areas to safely cook in our stone barbeque pits (below).

After the picnic you can stroll down the stairway to the Blanco River and enjoy a refreshing dip in the water. Swimming is, however, at your own risk. The rock stairway was extended all of the way down to the river in 2008 (below).

The "Park Rules" are also posted to the left of the River Park entry gate.

The park can only be accessed through a locked vehicle gate. Park keys are only available to RMRPOA members. Please click on the thumbnails to view larger pictures of the River Park.

Two Benches & Walkway Added to RMR Blanco River Park

The new benches and walkway were unveiled to those POA members attending the Summer Picnic & Meeting on 13 June 2009. The benches are located just to the left of the gate that leads to the river and are placed in two separate areas for scenic viewing.

The project was planned and completed by Troop 19 Soaring Eagle District of Sam Houston Area Council. The troop sponsor is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The POA Board and membership would like to thank the two Eagle Scout Candidates, Jarod Lundwall and Nathan Ellis, and the troop members and leaders that worked on this project.

Their project is a beautiful addition to our River Park. Thank you again.

A change in the installation schedule for the River Park port-a-potty was implemented on 15 September 2008.
